If you plan to visit the Czech Republic, you need the insurance which in force both for a stay requested in the Czech Republic in maximum lenght of 90 days and or stay requested from foreign countries even longer than 90 days. This insurance enables you to obtain a permit for such staying according to the Czech legislation. Foreigners from non-EU countries are obliged to produce a confirmation that they have conclused a health insurance policy covering the costs of emergency medical attendance, treatment, and repatriation of foreigners. Such policies can only be taken out from insurance companies that are authorised to carry on this activity in the Czech Republic. AXA ASSISTANCE health insurance for foreigners is recognised by the foreign police and meets the requirements of Act No. 326/1999 on the stay of foreigners in the Czech Republic.
At AXA ASSISTANCE, you can opt between a policy covering tourist and study stays or a policy covering work stays, from one month to three years. With this policy you will obtain assurance that should you suddenly fall ill or suffer an injury while staying in the Czech Republic or any other Schengen country, we will arrange medical care for you and pay costs of up to EUR 60,000 incurred in medical attendance, treatment, or, if applicable, repatriation for you.
Foreigner´s Health Insurance for Necessary and Urgent Care:
· is determined for applicants who intend to stay within 90 days (short-stay visa)
· is determined for applicants who intend to stay longer than 90 days
(long-stay visa, long-term residence permit) in case the application for
long-stay visa or for long-term residence permit is filed at
representative office of the Czech Republic (embassy, consulate)
The insurance contains:

an abrupt sickness or bodily injury;
-
hospitalisation;
-
medicaments prescribed within outpatient care;
-
treatment by a dental doctor in cases of acute pain state of teeth;
-
transportation to a health care facility if the state of the Insured excludes transportation by a public means of transportation; and
-
repatriation of the Insured, including transportation of mortal remains to the Insured’s home country.
Under this Insurance, the Insured shall not pay the “regulation fees” in a health care facility.
The Insurance may be bought in two variants:
TOURIST / STUDENT – it covers tourist or study stays. For students, up to 20% discount of the insurance premium price is granted.
WORK – it covers working stays, including bodily injury or injuries following from performance of an occupation.
